PULPGURU SOLUTIONS
Pulp Technology and Fibre Processing
Connect the properties of your pulp with the product and process you intend to run. PulpGuru helps structure feedstock, stock-preparation and trial requirements before equipment is specified.
Define the feedstock route before selecting equipment
Repulping purchased bagasse pulp sheets and producing pulp from raw sugar-mill bagasse are different project scopes. The latter needs its own upstream process and infrastructure assessment. State which route you intend to use in the enquiry so a pulper or refiner is not mistaken for a complete raw-fibre processing line.
Record supplier grade, sampling basis, moisture, contaminants and the material tests relevant to the intended product. Batch variation and additives can affect both the formed item and the water circuit. Confirm the furnish with trials rather than specifying a generic “bagasse pulp” in isolation.
Plan stock preparation as a connected system
Review repulping, storage, agitation, cleaning or screening, fibre treatment where justified, consistency control and distribution to the forming process. Equipment interfaces should identify flow, consistency, materials of construction, instrumentation, operating conditions and responsibility for each connection.
Refining and deflaking serve different purposes. Ask why a treatment step is proposed and how its contribution will be measured. A refiner is not a general substitute for contaminant removal. The selected process must also account for drainage, moisture removal and product quality.
Use a trial plan with separate measurements
- Define the baseline pulp and sample-preparation procedure.
- Measure fibre characteristics and drainability with documented methods.
- Record the proposed refining conditions and additives.
- Compare formed samples against intended use and customer requirements.
- Confirm the operating window on the proposed production system.
There is no universal fibre-length or °SR acceptance target for every moulded-fibre product. Have a competent laboratory and process specialist confirm the methods and the interpretation of results. PulpGuru does not claim a laboratory certification or a validated operating range on this page.
Prepare a pulp technology enquiry
Share the pulp source and grade, target products and mass, existing process observations, proposed capacity basis, water conditions and any available test results. This allows the discussion to separate material quality, process control and equipment selection instead of assuming that one machine resolves every issue.
